Professional Spanish-English translation for luxury goods and services

With over 13 years’ experience I am a specialist in the luxury industry. Whether it is fashion and beauty, travel and tourism or food and wine, my qualifications and extensive experience ensures you get a professional service every time. Read on for more about what I can offer. If you need professional Spanish-English translation for luxury goods and services, you have come to the right place!

Fashion and Beauty

With over 13 years’ experience, I am an expert in the fashion industry. From clothes and shoes to jewellery, perfume and beauty, your text is safe with me. I am also a trained copywriter, meaning I can deal with detailed product descriptions as well as marketing and transcreation.  I have worked with top brands like Massimo Dutti, Zara, Pull&Bear, Aristocrazy, Lefties, Camper and others.

Travel and Tourism

I originally trained as a travel agent and have brought that experience in travel sales to my translation work. Clients have included hotel chains like Palladium, Iberostar and Ayre hotels as well as independent boutique hotels and cultural organisations. I have translated audio guides for cathedrals and prehistoric sites as well as tourist guides for destinations like Bilbao and the surrounding coast.

Food and Wine

I have extensive experience translating menus, from craft beer to top-class hotel chains like Iberostar and Palladium. I have worked with a variety of wineries in the DO Rioja as well as translating texts about DO Cava. In 2021 I completed the WSET Level Two course.

Literature and Scriptwriting

The other string to my bow is translating scripts and screenplays. For scriptwriting I use Final Draft if the customer requests it. I translated the second series of Lucky Fred for the Disney Channel, as well as episodes of Sandra Fairytale Detective and a script for the pilot episode of Mirlo Blanco, a Spanish political drama series. I am currently working on scripts for Annie and Carola for Mondo TV.

“When I, a Los Angeles TV writer became head writer for Lucky Fred, a Disney Channel cartoon for a production company in Barcelona, people would ask me, ‘Do you write in Spanish?’ No. I don’t speak or write one word of Spanish, but luckily, Lucy Williams does. She was our regular translator, and working with her was extremely smooth. She is always professional, she asks the right questions, and was very dependable. I never had to worry with Lucy on the job.”
